Michigan Community Action is a member service network dedicated to reducing poverty in Michigan by supporting Community Action Agencies in their quest to change the lives of low-income Michiganders. We invite you to learn more about Community Action, the causes we’re fighting for, and the progress we’re making.

MCA Summer Conference

MCA is soliciting proposals from speakers/consultants/trainers to present at our 2015 Summer Conference to be held July 28-30 at Shanty Creek Resort in Bellaire. Sponsorships, exhibitor space, and advertising in the conference program are also available.

Coalition and State Lawmakers Promote MEAP at Capitol Event

MCA took part in the Coalition to Keep Michigan Warm Day event on the steps and lawn of the Capitol on a frigid February 18 to thank state legislators for passing the Michigan Energy Assistance Program bill last year, which has helped thousands of low income families stay safe and warm in their homes through two of the toughest winters in memory.

MCA Day at the Capitol

MCA will host Community Action Day at the Capitol on April 30, 2015. We will have exhibits to share with state legislators what our member agencies are doing to help low income families in their districts with housing, energy, economic development, early childhood development, senior services, and many other areas. We will also recognize agency clients and volunteers in our presentation of the 2015 Community Action Awards.
